About HS High Stake GmbH

Software development company in Karlsruhe, Germany, with 11 to 50 employees.

HS High Stake GmbH is a software development company in Karlsruhe, Germany, with 11 to 50 employees. It builds a large business portal for the German division of a well-known company.

The portal connects the division with its dealers and its employees. OSKI joined the project in January 2021. The work was still ongoing when CEO Andrey Mir reviewed it on Clutch in January 2023.

The challenge

What had to be solved

The portal serves several audiences and runs on a broad .NET stack.

  • Serve the division, its dealers and its employees from one portal.
  • Support modules for product materials, staff training programs and more.
  • Work across .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET Core 3.1 and .NET 5.0 in a microservice architecture.
  • Keep the product working and handle urgent tasks when they come up.
The approach

How the team built it

Full-stack developers with a .NET focus

Over the project, 7 different OSKI developers worked on the portal. All of them were full-stack engineers with a back-end focus on .NET.

Back end and content

The back end uses Umbraco CMS, HotChocolate for GraphQL, Entity Framework, SQL Server with T-SQL, and Elasticsearch. IdentityServer4 and Hangfire are also part of the stack.

Front end

On the front end, the team worked with React, Redux and AngularJS.

Fast fixes and urgent tasks

Bugs were fixed quickly so the product kept working. The team stayed reachable when urgent tasks came in.

The outcome

What changed

HS High Stake gained a steady extension of its team for a long-running portal.

  • Several portal modules were developed.
  • Bugs were fixed quickly, so the product kept working.
  • Deadlines were regularly met.
  • The team was reachable for urgent tasks.
  • The CEO called the team experts in their field and praised its communication, speed of development and cost.
“Their communication skills, speed of development, and cost were incredible.”
