Umbraco development · Registered partner

Umbraco development, from new builds to version upgrades.

We build, upgrade and run Umbraco websites for universities, insurance brokers, media and B2B companies. More than 10 years on the platform, sites with up to 80,000 pages, and our own packages that other Umbraco teams install from NuGet.

What we do with Umbraco

Everything an Umbraco site needs, from one team.

Pick one piece or hand us the whole lifecycle. Each card links a client project where we shipped that kind of work.

New Umbraco websites

Corporate sites, portals and content platforms built on current Umbraco and .NET, designed so editors can work without developers.

  • Block Grid and Block List page building
  • Reusable component libraries
  • SEO and accessibility (WCAG) built in
See it in Auto.co.il · Umbraco 15, 100K content items

Upgrades and migrations

We move older Umbraco sites to the current version, including the jump from .NET Framework to modern .NET, without losing content or SEO.

  • Umbraco 7 and 8 to the latest release
  • Content and media migration scripts
  • Legacy URL redirects preserved
See it in Jongeneel · Umbraco 8 → 17, .NET 10

Multi-site and headless

One Umbraco installation that runs several brand sites, or Umbraco as a headless CMS feeding React, Next.js or mobile front ends.

  • Shared components across sites
  • Content Delivery API and custom APIs
  • Next.js, Vue and Lit front ends
See it in Alliant · multi-site platform for a US insurance brokerage

Back-office extensions

Custom editors, dashboards, workflows and packages that make the Umbraco back office fit how your team actually publishes.

  • Custom property editors and dashboards
  • Page-level editor permissions
  • Umbraco Forms workflows
See it in Ben-Gurion University · 1,000 editors with scoped access

Integrations

Umbraco connected to the rest of your stack: identity, CRM, marketing automation and external data sources.

  • Okta, Auth0 and Moodle single sign-on
  • Salesforce, Mailchimp and Eloqua
  • Scheduled imports from APIs and GraphQL
See it in Fairway Divorce · Forms → Salesforce and Mailchimp

Performance, hosting and support

Fast search, sensible caching and automated deployments on Azure or AWS, followed by ongoing maintenance and security updates.

  • Lucene and Examine search tuning
  • Azure and AWS hosting with CI/CD
  • Monitoring, patches and ongoing support

Upgrades

Still on Umbraco 7 or 8? Here is how we move you forward.

Older Umbraco versions no longer get security fixes and run on the retired .NET Framework. Packages stop working, hosting gets harder and fewer developers want to touch the code. An upgrade fixes that, and it is a good moment to clean up the content model.

8 → 17

For Jongeneel, a transport company, we moved an operations platform from Umbraco 8 and .NET Framework to Umbraco 17 on .NET 10, and added automated tests, Docker and CI/CD along the way. Read the case

  1. Audit

We review your current Umbraco version, packages, custom code, content model and hosting, and list what blocks an upgrade.

  2. Plan and estimate

You get a written plan: target version, what gets rebuilt or replaced, migration approach, timeline and a fixed price.

  3. Build and migrate

We upgrade or rebuild on a staging copy, migrate content with scripts and test every template against the live site.

  4. Switch and support

Cutover with redirects in place, then monitoring, security updates and help for your editors.

Our packages

We publish the tools we build for Umbraco.

When we solve a problem on one project, we package it so every client benefits, and so do other Umbraco teams. Most of our packages are free and MIT-licensed on NuGet, and together they have been installed more than 50,000 times.

How an Umbraco project runs

A fixed plan before we touch your site.

The same four steps whether you need a new site, an upgrade or a rescue of a project another vendor left behind.

STEP 01

Discovery

Goals, content model, integrations and hosting. For existing sites, a code and infrastructure audit.

STEP 02

Estimate

Architecture, scope, team and a fixed price, agreed before any work starts.

STEP 03

Build

Two-week sprints with a weekly demo on staging. Editors get access early to shape the back office.

STEP 04

Launch & run

Cutover with redirects, editor training, monitoring and support terms for updates and fixes agreed in the contract.

What is Umbraco and who is it for?+

Umbraco is a content management system that runs on Microsoft .NET and is free to use under the MIT license. It suits companies that need a flexible website or portal, want full control over hosting and code, and already work in the Microsoft ecosystem. Universities, insurers, media companies and B2B brands use it for sites with thousands of pages and many editors.

Is OSKI an official Umbraco partner?+

Yes. OSKI Solutions is a Registered Umbraco Partner. We have built on Umbraco for more than 10 years and maintain 11 Umbraco packages on NuGet, most of them free and MIT-licensed, with more than 50,000 downloads in total.

Our site runs on Umbraco 7 or 8. Do we need to upgrade?+

Umbraco 7 and 8 no longer receive security fixes and run on the old .NET Framework, so hosting, packages and developers become harder to find each year. We usually recommend moving to the current long-term support release. We start with an audit and give you a fixed estimate before any work begins.

Can you take over an existing Umbraco site built by another agency?+

Yes, this is a large part of our work. We review the code and infrastructure first, fix urgent issues, document what we find and then agree on a maintenance or improvement plan.

How long does an Umbraco project take?+

A focused upgrade or a mid-size corporate site typically takes 6–12 weeks. Large platforms with migrations and integrations, such as university or multi-brand sites, run over several months in phases. You get a timeline with the estimate after discovery.

Where can our Umbraco site be hosted?+

Anywhere that runs .NET: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Umbraco Cloud or your own servers. We have run Umbraco on Azure, on AWS ECS with Docker, and moved large sites between the two without downtime.
