Hire Umbraco developers · Registered partner

Hire Umbraco developers for your team or your agency.

Umbraco and .NET developers who build back-office extensions, upgrades, integrations and headless front ends. Join them to your team, run them as a dedicated team, or use them white-label under your agency’s name. You interview everyone first.

What our Umbraco developers do

Umbraco specialists, matched to the work you have.

These are the areas of Umbraco work our developers cover. Each one is tied to a project where we did it, so you can see the result before you hire.

Back-office extensions

Custom property editors, dashboards, sections and plugins for the Umbraco back office, from AngularJS on older versions to Web Components with Lit and TypeScript on current ones.

  • Lit and TypeScript extensions
  • Reporting and moderation plugins
  • Editor tools with Excel export
See it in Nordic language platform · 3 custom back-office tools

Upgrades and .NET migration

Moving Umbraco 8 and .NET Framework code to Umbraco 17 on .NET 10, replacing packages with no upgrade path and keeping tests green throughout.

  • ASP.NET Core ports of controllers and services
  • Package replacements
  • xUnit and Moq around business logic
See it in Jongeneel · Umbraco 8 → 17, .NET 10

Integrations and SSO

Umbraco connected to identity providers, CRMs, marketing tools and external data sources, with imports that run on a schedule.

  • Okta and Auth0 sign-in
  • Umbraco Forms → Salesforce and Mailchimp
  • GraphQL imports mapped by configuration
See it in Umbraco import tool · one DLL reused across sites

Headless and front end

Umbraco as a headless CMS behind Next.js, or classic Razor sites with Vue, React or Lit components that editors assemble from blocks.

  • Next.js on headless Umbraco
  • Reusable components editors assemble
  • WCAG keyboard and screen reader work
See it in Omoda Denmark · headless Umbraco and Next.js

Search, caching and scale

Lucene and Examine search across large content trees, caching that invalidates only what changed, and access control for many editors.

  • Lucene search with configurable filters
  • Dependency-aware page cache
  • Scoped permissions per editor
See it in Ben-Gurion University · ~80K pages, ~300 requests/sec at peak

Hosting and pipelines

Umbraco in Docker, on Azure, AWS or Umbraco Cloud, with CI/CD that produces the same build in every environment.

  • AWS ECS Fargate, Azure and Umbraco Cloud
  • Docker for local and production
  • CI/CD pipelines and monitoring
See it in Alliant · multi-site Umbraco with CI/CD on Azure
Engagement models

Three ways to hire Umbraco developers.

The difference is who directs the work and whose name the client sees. A fixed-scope project, such as an upgrade, is a fourth option. See dedicated teams & white-label for how these models work across our other services.

How hiring works

Profiles, interviews, then a start date.

You choose who works on your Umbraco site. We put forward profiles that fit your version and your work, you interview them, and only the developers you approve join.

2–4

weeks from the first call to a working team, as we estimate it for most engagements. The actual start date is agreed with you.

  1. Call with our CTO

Roman Oleksuk, our CTO, runs the first call. He asks about your Umbraco version, the work ahead, your process and the time zones involved.

  2. Developer profiles

You get profiles of the engineers we would put on the work, with the Umbraco and .NET projects behind each one.

  3. Your interviews

You interview the developers yourself, technical questions included. Nobody joins your team without your approval.

  4. Start

Access to your repository, environments and tools, then the first tasks. We say a team is usually ready in 2–4 weeks from the first call.

Working inside your process

Your repository, your reviews, your rules.

Developers you hire follow how your team already works. For Lokad, a company based in Paris, our engineers built an in-house CRM from Lokad’s functional and architectural specifications. Every change arrived as a pull request that Lokad’s engineers reviewed, and the code followed Lokad’s coding and architecture guidelines.

  • For a US consultancy, we worked under its name for more than four years and added project managers and QA when needed.
  • For HS High Stake, 7 different OSKI developers worked on one long-running .NET and Umbraco portal, and the team stayed reachable for urgent tasks.
  • Feedback from the consultancy taught us to make acceptance criteria very specific. They are now agreed up front.
“This is a team of engineers who obviously like what they are doing.”

Hiring FAQ

Questions about hiring Umbraco developers.

Anything missing? Send us your question and an engineer will answer, usually within one business day.

Contact us
How much does it cost to hire an Umbraco developer?+

Our rate listed on Clutch is $25–49 per hour, and the minimum project is $1,000. Dedicated teams and staff augmentation are billed monthly. You get the rate for your team in writing before work starts.

Are your developers Umbraco certified?+

OSKI Solutions is a Registered Umbraco Partner. We do not claim individual Umbraco certifications for our developers on this page. What we show instead is the work: 11 Umbraco packages on NuGet with about 51,800 downloads, Umbraco case studies from Umbraco 8 to 17, and verified Clutch reviews. You can also interview each developer before they join.

How fast can an Umbraco developer start?+

We say a team is usually ready in 2–4 weeks from the first call. That covers profiles, your interviews and access setup. It is our own estimate, and the start date is agreed with you.

Can we interview the developers first?+

Yes. You get profiles, then you interview the developers you want, and nobody joins your team without your approval. Our CTO, Roman Oleksuk, joins the first call to match profiles to your stack.

Do you work white-label for Umbraco agencies?+

Yes. From March 2021 to May 2025 a team of 2 to 5 OSKI people built custom Umbraco websites and Okta integrations for a California consultancy’s own clients, under NDA and under the consultancy’s name. Project managers and QA were added when a project needed them.

Which Umbraco versions do your developers work with?+

Current and older ones. We moved Jongeneel from Umbraco 8 to 17, built Auto.co.il on Umbraco 15, and have worked on a portal that mixes .NET Framework 4.8 with ASP.NET Core 3.1 and .NET 5. Our OskiStarterKit has release lines for Umbraco 9 to 13, and our newer AI packages target Umbraco 17 and 18.

Will your developers follow our code review and coding rules?+

Yes. For Lokad, every change arrived as a pull request reviewed by Lokad’s engineers and followed Lokad’s coding and architecture guidelines. Feedback from the US consultancy taught us to make acceptance criteria very specific, so they are now agreed up front.
