The problem it solves
Editors who use AI for copy or images usually work in a separate tool, then paste text and upload files into Umbraco by hand. That is slow and breaks the editing flow for every single field. umContentCreator puts a generate button next to the property, so text and images are created where they are used.

What umContentCreator does
Ships with: umContentCreator.Core: server-side library with the package's core logic (API calls to OpenAI, Stability AI and Google search, plus settings). Installed automatically; latest 17.0.0 targets Umbraco 17.1+ and .NET 10.
Text box, text area and rich text properties get a generate button. Text is written by an OpenAI model.
Set the maximum words per response and a model behavior slider before generating, then edit the result.
Add the generated text after existing content, replace it, or ask for a new version.
Media properties can create an image from a keyword or phrase using the Stability AI API and add it to the property.
A Search tab finds images through Google Custom Search, with region and usage rights settings, and inserts the one you pick.
API keys for text and image services are entered in configuration tabs in the Content section. No code changes are needed.
Separate release lines exist for Umbraco 10, 15 and 17, so the package follows major CMS upgrades.
From install to first use
dotnet add package umContentCreator- Install
Add the package from NuGet. umContentCreator.Core is installed with it.
- Add API keys
Enter your OpenAI key under the text settings, and your Stability AI key plus optional Google API and search engine keys under the image settings.
- Switch data types
Replace the text and image data types on your document types with the AI-enabled versions.
- Generate in place
Open a page, click the button next to a field, write a prompt, review the result and apply it.

Which Umbraco versions are supported?+
Use 17.0.0 for Umbraco 17, 15.0.x for Umbraco 15, and 1.0.x for Umbraco 10 and later classic backoffice versions.
Which AI services does it use?+
OpenAI for text, Stability AI for image generation, and Google Custom Search for finding images. Each needs its own key.
Where do I enter API keys?+
In the umContentCreator configuration tabs in the Content section of the backoffice.
Do I need to change my document types?+
You swap the existing text or image data types for the AI-enabled ones. Templates and content structure stay the same.
