ERP development

Custom ERP development for manufacturers, distributors and online sellers.

We build ERP systems that run inventory, orders, purchasing, production, shipping and invoicing in one place, with QuickBooks kept in sync both ways. Built for small and mid-size companies that have outgrown spreadsheets but not their way of working.

Custom ERP vs off-the-shelf

NetSuite, Odoo, Business Central, or your own?

A packaged ERP is the right answer for many companies. We do not sell licenses, so we can say that plainly. Here is how we help clients decide.

Buy

A packaged ERP such as NetSuite, Odoo or Business Central

Choose this when: Your processes follow common accounting and distribution patterns, and you would rather adapt to the software than pay to build it.

You get a mature product with many ready modules and a large partner market. Expect license fees per user, an implementation project and some workarounds where your process differs.

Our role
An honest recommendation. We do not resell these products.
Build

A custom ERP with QuickBooks as the ledger

Choose this when: Stock, orders and purchasing run on spreadsheets, the books are already in QuickBooks, and packaged ERPs feel too heavy or too generic.

Only the modules you need, modeled on your units, documents and approvals. QuickBooks keeps the accounting, the ERP runs operations, and the two sync in both directions.

ExampleERP system

Connect

An operations layer on top of your sales channels

Choose this when: Most orders come from marketplaces or a storefront, and the gap is between those channels and the workshop or warehouse.

A focused platform that pulls orders, stock and fees from the channels, routes work to production and shows margin per product. It can grow into a full ERP later.

ERP modules

The modules a product business runs on.

We build the ones you need and leave out the rest. Each module below links to a project where it runs today. Manufacturing accounts for 15% of our client work on Clutch.

Inventory and stock

Raw materials, blanks and finished goods in one list, with live levels, reorder signals and quantities that convert between units correctly.

  • Stock by item, location and channel
  • Unit conversions such as LB, KG, STON and MTON
  • Days-of-cover alerts and draft purchase orders
See it in One Motion ERP · 4-unit weight conversions

Orders and fulfillment

Every order has one status that sales, the warehouse and finance all see. No more asking around to find out where a shipment stands.

  • Order status visible in real time
  • Orders from marketplaces and your own channels
  • Billing tied to the right order stage
See it in ERP system · 20% faster order fulfillment

Purchasing and vendors

Each purchase order is linked to its vendor, so procurement can see what was ordered, received and billed without matching sheets by hand.

  • Vendors linked to purchase orders
  • Ordered, received and invoiced quantities compared
  • Supplier buying triggered per customer order
See it in Peregrine Ship · sourcing from 1688 suppliers per order

Production

Production orders that consume raw materials and produce goods. For made-to-order work, each incoming order becomes a job on the right line.

  • Production orders against raw materials
  • Orders routed to print or production queues
  • Quality checks before work starts
See it in Aspect · 97% of custom orders routed automatically in the demo

Shipping and receiving

Outgoing and incoming goods with checks that stop mistakes before they reach a customer or an invoice.

  • Validation on shipping and receiving
  • Shipment reversal and purchase-order exports
  • Material certificates mapped to shipments
See it in One Motion ERP · shipping with guardrails

Invoicing, reports and margin

Invoices that match the books, Excel and PDF reports that finance can sign off, and a profit view that counts every real cost.

  • Invoices synced with QuickBooks
  • Excel and PDF reports checked against accounting
  • Margin after fees, ads, reprints and materials
See it in ERP system · 40% faster report generation
Client story

Orders, inventory and sourcing for Peregrine Ship.

Peregrine Ship runs a dropshipping and fulfillment platform for high-volume e-commerce from Hong Kong. Between June 2024 and July 2025, a team of two to five OSKI engineers worked on its backend for orders, inventory and fulfillment, the internal admin dashboard and its logistics integrations.

  • Each customer order now buys its stock from a matched 1688 supplier, so no excess inventory sits in the warehouse.
  • Clients are charged at the exact order stage: sourcing after purchase, shipping once goods are ready to dispatch.
  • Admins change taxes, fees and CNY exchange rates themselves, with full history.

Accounting integration

QuickBooks stays the ledger. The ERP runs everything around it.

Your accountant keeps working in QuickBooks. Operations work in the ERP. A two-way sync makes sure both show the same numbers, so nobody reconciles invoices by hand at month end.

  • Purchase orders, vendors and invoices sync automatically, so a record is entered once.
  • Customer profiles keep their QuickBooks ID next to order and shipping history.
  • Tax and tariff rules, invoice date mismatches and duplicates are handled in the sync logic.
  • Item IDs are remapped automatically when they change on either side.
  • Sync runs as scheduled background jobs in Hangfire.

E-commerce operations

Know what each product really earns, on every marketplace.

Aspect, a print workshop in Zhytomyr, sells personalized mugs, shirts and canvas prints on Amazon in the US, UK and EU. Revenue was easy to see. Real margin was not.

We connected the business to 7 Amazon marketplaces through SP-API. Orders and stock sync every 15 minutes. Personalized orders become print jobs, artwork under 300 dpi is held back, and a profit view deducts marketplace fees, delivery, ads, reprints, blanks and ink from every sale.

Data migration and rollout

Moving off spreadsheets without stopping the business.

The hard part of a new ERP is rarely the code. It is the item list with three spellings of the same product, the vendor saved twice and the open orders that must not get lost. We plan the data move as carefully as the software.

  1. Walk the floor

We follow an order from quote to invoice with the people who handle it. Every spreadsheet, copy-paste and workaround goes on the list.

  2. Agree the modules

Together we pick the modules for phase one and the data each one owns. Accounting rules are agreed with whoever runs QuickBooks.

  3. Clean and map the data

Items, units, vendors, customers and open orders are cleaned and mapped to the new model. Duplicates and dead records are settled with you, not guessed.

  4. Build and rehearse

Short sprints with demos on real data. The migration runs on a copy several times, and totals are compared with QuickBooks and your old sheets.

  5. Switch over, then extend

Cutover on a quiet day, with the team on call. After that, new modules and change requests ship without breaking what runs.

ERP FAQ

ERP questions we hear most.

Anything missing? Send us your question and an engineer will answer, usually within one business day.

Contact us
Should we build a custom ERP or buy NetSuite, Odoo or Business Central?+

If your processes are close to standard and you want many modules quickly, a packaged ERP is often the better choice, and we will tell you so. Custom makes sense when your units, documents or order flow do not fit, when per-user licenses grow faster than the business, or when you only need a few modules around QuickBooks. We are not a reseller of any ERP, so the advice is not tied to a license.

Can a custom ERP sync with QuickBooks in both directions?+

Yes. On our ERP projects, purchase orders, vendors and invoices sync with QuickBooks automatically, and customer records keep their QuickBooks ID. The sync handles tax rules, date mismatches, duplicates and item ID changes, and runs as background jobs in Hangfire.

How do you move our data out of spreadsheets or an old system?+

We map items, units, vendors, customers and open orders to the new data model, clean duplicates with your team, and run the migration on a copy first. Totals are compared with QuickBooks and the old records before the final switch. On the Auto.co.il project we moved about 100,000 records out of a legacy CRM into a new platform.

Can the ERP pull orders from Amazon and other sales channels?+

Yes. For Aspect, a print workshop, orders and stock from 7 Amazon marketplaces sync through SP-API every 15 minutes. Personalized orders become print jobs automatically, and a profit view deducts fees, ads, reprints and materials from each sale.

Can you take over an ERP or internal system another team built?+

Yes. We start with a review of the code, data and background jobs, fix what hurts daily work first, then agree on a plan. We did this with Jongeneel’s operations platform, which we moved to .NET 10, and with our own CRM after it grew on a legacy codebase.

What does custom ERP development cost?+

It depends on the number of modules, integrations and how much data has to move. Our Clutch profile lists rates of $25–49 per hour. You can work with us on a fixed scope and price per phase, or with a dedicated team billed monthly. You get an estimate for the first phase after a discovery call.

Who supports the ERP after launch?+

We can. On One Motion ERP, OSKI keeps building new modules, extending the QuickBooks integration and fixing live issues, while change requests ship without destabilizing production.
