About Peregrine Ship

Hong Kong e-commerce and logistics company that runs a dropshipping and fulfillment platform.

Peregrine Ship is a Hong Kong company with 11 to 50 employees. It runs a dropshipping and fulfillment platform built on Angular and .NET.

OSKI worked on the platform from June 2024 to July 2025, across front end, back end and API integrations. The central piece was a new sourcing step that buys stock from China's 1688 marketplace for each customer order.

The challenge

What had to be solved

Warehouse staff and sourcing managers were spending their days on manual steps.

  • Buying stock from suppliers for each order was done by hand.
  • Every internal product needed a reliable link to its supplier and listing on 1688.
  • Charges were not tied to the right stage of the order lifecycle, which risked losses and unpaid balances.
  • Taxes, manager fees and CNY exchange rates had to be adjustable without code changes.
The approach

How the team built it

Factory Connections

Using TMApi, the team built Factory Connections, which map each internal product to its 1688 supplier and product. A sourcing manager links a product once, and sourcing runs on its own from then on.

Sourcing inside the order flow

Through the 1688 API, the platform places the order, watches for the tracking number and imports it. When goods arrive, warehouse inventory updates and the sourcing deduction for client billing is calculated.

Billing at the right moment

The finance flow was reworked. Clients pay the sourcing cost once a purchase succeeds and the shipping cost once goods are prepared for dispatch, both based on real product and shipping values.

Pricing settings for admins

Admins manage taxes, manager fees and CNY exchange rates themselves, and the platform keeps the history of each value.

The outcome

What changed

The order flow needs less manual work and handles money more precisely.

  • About 30% of the manual order flow was replaced by automated actions.
  • Stock is sourced on demand for each order, so no excess inventory is stored and inventory is more accurate.
  • Charges happen at precise lifecycle stages, which reduces losses and prevents unpaid balances.
  • Admins change pricing parameters without developers.
  • The team handles more simultaneous orders without extra manual work.
  • In its July 2025 Clutch review, Peregrine Ship reported about 35% faster fulfillment, 50% less manual admin work and minimal technical issues after launch.
“They maintained reliability without needing constant oversight, which made the collaboration efficient.”
